    What is Lavosh

    Lavash, which is also called lavasi is very popular Middle Eastern soft, flatbread. Many also pronounce the name of this dish as lavash, which means cracker bread. This bread which is widely popular especially in the regions of Iran, The lavash bread is typically topped with a sprinkle of poppy and/or sesame seeds, and mostly these seeds are sprinkled before baking the bread. These bread are considerably thinner than the authentic versions. The bread resembles the Mexican tortilla when freshly baked. However, once it dries out, which happens quite quickly, it becomes hard and brittle, unlike the tortilla which is generally flexible. 

    Ways to enjoy and Storage

    Lavash is served with dips like​ hummus or baba ghanoush and can be crackled over your Salad bowl.  Pumpkin Dip and Lentil Dip makes a great go with Lavash Crackers and great party starter. 

     

    Storage

      • Store Lavosh Crackers in an airtight container at room temperature,  will last for several weeks. To re-crisp, place them on a baking sheet in a 350 degree F.
